In a close game where the difference between the teams never went into double figures, Seagulls lost by 3 pins to the Sundowners.
First leg won by 2 pins.
Second leg equalled the opposition with a low score of 99. Derrick took top score with 42, but Derek's 24 probably lost the match.
Third leg lost 2 pins leaving the game all square going into anchor leg.
Anchor leg were always in the game but needing 22 on the final hand proved too much.
In the all-time averages table, Derek changes places with Wayne Nation, Derek dropping from 35th to 36th.
In the pins against opponent table Colin climbs from 6th to 5th with Ian moving in the opposite direction. Simon moves up from 12th to 11th and Paul Didcote and Ivor change positions, Paul climbing from 41st to 40th.
Paul has now scored 2,011 pins against his opponent, the 27th player to pass the 2,000 pin mark.
With a third of the season gone, Colin leads the averages at 40.25. Simon and John Duck are close behind on 39.86 and 39.33 respectively.
